Owners of vintage Ibanez acoustics rate the 645 Vintage as one of the very best made-in-Japan Ibanez dreadnoughts. Please see this auction: http:This Martin D-28(the Holy Grail of dreadnought guitars) copy is very scarce and difficult to find for sale. If you want the guitar to ship in a hardshell case, I have a really nice one available that would fit this guitar perfectly. Seller added the following information: Right now the guitar is in a chipboard case and is boxed up and ready for shipping. I will ship world wide and will ship quickly. more ship in a case with mandatory insurance. Truss rod adjustment is at the headstock. 1 3/4 at the nut and a great fingerpicker. The wood has aged nicely and the sound is fantastic. I don't know whether the sides and back are solid: I'm guessing not but it is quite hard to tell. Despite the nicks and scratches, this is not a beater. Angle of saddle and carving of the nut are consistent with a real left handed guitar. The tuners are open faced, perhaps these are upgrades: I'm not sure. Guitar has an end pin but doesn't have any other button or extra holes installed. One of the finest guitars I've ever played.

Plenty of nicks and scratches but packs a strong sound and a big full tone. AsĮxtremely rare 1976 Left handed Ibanez acoustic guitar model 627L. Strings are old, but this guitar still sounds very good. This guitar is very easy to play, like butter so they say. Less than 1/8" on the 12th fret on low E string. The neck is straight, no twisting or warping. The bridge is glued firmly to the soundboard, no sign of lifting or bulging. The neck is butted very well to the body, no sign of separation whatsoever. There are minor scratches and dings, that are hard to capture in pictures. About this guitar: It is in excellent shape for a guitar that is this vintage. Incidentally, the Tama guitar was named in honor of Hoshino's wife, Tama. Then Hoshino dropped the Tama guitars in favor of the Ibanez line. Few years later, Elger was renamed Hoshino U.S.A. As a result, Elger and Hoshino stopped producing Gibson replicas, but by that time, they were already a premiere high quality guitar company, holding their own design against the top notch U.S. Gibson sued Elger and Hoshino in the 70's(hence the lawsuit era) for copyright. Then the company expanded to Japan and joined forces with the Hoshino company(the Tama and Ibanez guitar company. Rosenbloom named his company in honor of his daughter Ellen and his son Gerson, thus Elger. It is(as far as I know) In the 60's Elger guitars were produced in the USA. Elger guitars has pretty interesting history. I am not sure about the exact year of manufacture, but this guitar was probably built in the late 60's or very early 70's. The fretboard and the bridge are rosewood. The soundboard is spruce, and the back and sides are rosewood. Here is a super nice vintage ELGER acoustic six- strings guitar. Expect to receive what you see in the pics. The maple neck is very nice and adds some extra clarity to the overall sound. The tone is very balanced and has plenty of volume. We looked over this guitar and it looks like whoever owned this baby just kept her in the case and rarely played.
